PhD in Computer Science @ University of Bath.

Hi, I am a PhD student at the University of Bath under the supervision of Prof. Davide Moltisanti and Vinay Namboodiri. Previously, I was a research assistant in Academia Sinica working with Prof. Chun-Shien Lu.

My research centers on developing trustworthy and interpretable AI systems. My published work includes methods for enhancing the robustness of diffusion model watermarking. Currently, I am exploring the interpretability, aiming to better understand the internal mechanisms of generative models and to design techniques that make them safer and more controllable. I’d love to connect and discuss. Feel free to reach out at mao.kyushu[AT]gmail.com.

I am actively seeking internships in generative model applications and explainable AI. My detailed experience and publications can be found here.
